Bahir-lakshya

बहिर्लक्ष्य, bahirlakṣya

"outer lakshya"

A sphere or objects for meditation or concentration located outside the human body or on its surface. Bahir-lakshya includes, for example, candle flame, various images of the Deities, yantras, symbols, etc. Many Natha-yogis also referred 16 adharas as bahir-lakshya, because they are located almost on the surface of the body.
