Anga-nyasa, Hridaya-nyasa
("Hri" is the heart, "daya" is mercy, compassion, self-sacrifice)

Nyasa of the parts of the body. Hrdaya-nyasa begins with the heart and, mainly, activates the upper centers. This nyasa is done after sadhaka has pointed his/her mind and body to a specific Deity. Hridaya-nyasa gives the possibility of the energy of the Diety to manifest itself in the highest degree of space and reality, where puja is performed.
