Shabda

sound, word, or Logos;

according to Indian views, sound is inextricably linked with cosmic being;

the sound incarnation of God. It is implied that the primary force of the universe is precisely the sound realized in the form of the Word or instructions (Logos of the Greek tradition).

In a narrower sense - one of the five tanmatras - the properties of objects perceived by the senses. Shabda is a property of sound.
