Chetana-shakti

The supreme light of consciousness, the power of consciousness. In yogic and tantric texts, Chetana is described as Kundalini, the goddess, whose face is always directed at Shiva, i.e., the realization of His transcendental will. Among the Naths, the symbol of the Supreme light of consciousness is the sacrificial fire. It is believed that the entire universe and all deities, including Vishnu, Brahma and Maheshvara, arose from the dhuni of Gorakshanath. Gorakshanath himself personifies the original Universe, which is beyond the limits of forms.

Chidakasha

Space of consciousness. The term consists of two words: "chit" – perceive, consciousness, spirit, thought; "akasha" – space, sky.

Chidakasha is the space we perceive when we close our eyes. Associated with the upper chakras, especially the ajna.

Chimta Chimta
It is a tongs for woods and coals in dhuni. The tongs can serve as a weapon and also as a protection from evil spirits. While bhajans are performed the chimta is used as a musical instrument. Sometimes a pair of tweezers is attached to it.  → Подробнее...
Chin-mudra

Chin-mudra is practiced in any meditative asana. Both hands are used here. The tips of the thumb and index finger touch each other, forming a circle or an acute angle. The other three fingers are kept straight, but relaxed. Hands are placed on the laps, palms up.

Chira Guru
In the Natha Sampradaya, this is the name given to the Guru who transmits sannyasa, performs the ritual when ear shells are cut and kundalas (ear rings) are put on Natha Yogi.
Chira-diksha
This initiation is passed on from Guru, who is called chira-guru. Chira diksha is performed by cutting through the center of the ears and placing kundalas (earrings) at the place of the cut. This way yogi gets rid of sins and it becomes easier for him to control sexual energy, prana, and feelings such as anger, envy, greed, pride, selfishness, etc.  → Подробнее...
