अक्षत, akṣata
“whole”, “undivided”
Akshat, akshata – whole, uncooked grains of rice (or other grains), usually mixed with turmeric, used as an offering during a puja or to bless someone (for example, at marriages and other ceremonies). It is considered one of the best types of food and offerings to the gods.
