तत्पुरुष tatpuruṣa

Tatpurusha (Skt. "that person", "Supreme Being") is the eastern face of Shiva, the power of concealing truth. From this face, Air appeared, it is associated with the syllable "vā" in the Panchakshara mantra and with the golden color. Deity – Ishvara.

tatpuruṣāya vidmahe mahādevāya dhīmahi
tanno rudraḥ pracodayāt

May we cognize the Highest!
May we meditate on the Great God!
May Rudra lead us to Awakening!
