Aghora Shiva
Aghora Shiva
अघोरशिव, aghoraśiva
The southern face of Shiva manifested in the image of Panchabrahma (Panchamukha). It is also called Dakshinamurti (from Sanskrit "dakshina" – "south", "right", if you face east, the south will be on the right). Aghora Shiva destroys the world as Rudra, from it Agni-tattva is manifested. He is the keeper of cemeteries and cremation sites and associates with death. He "devours" life, clearing the way for a new creation. Personalizes pure consciousness and calmness, which help to sustain the devotee of aghori horrors and fears of death and other unfavorable phenomena of the world. This face of Shiva corresponds to the syllable "śi" in the Panchakshara mantra. Its color is blue-black. It is one of the used epithets of Bhairava.
Aghora mantra:
aghorebhyotha ghorebhyo ghora ghoretarebhyas sarvebhyas sarvasarvebhyo
namaste astu rudrarūpebhyaḥI worship not terrifying, and terrifying,
and to someone who is both terrifying and not terrifying at the same time.
always, everywhere and in everything – I worship all forms of Rudra.
