Ankusha-mudra

अंकुश-मुद्रा, aṅkuśa-mudrā

Ankusha means "dagger", and ankusha-mudra is reminiscent of discipline, about the direction on the spiritual path. It is believed that ankusha-mudra subdues all three worlds. In rituals, this mudra is often used to invoke sacred rivers into water, meaning to consecrate water.

Technique: the middle finger is straightened, the rest are bent, they are pressed by the thumb.
