Ishvara-tattva

ईश्वर-तत्त्व, īśvara-tattva

The fourth tattva in the cosmological system of Kashmir Shaivism.

Ishvara-tattva corresponds to the energy of universal knowledge: jnana-shakti. It is pure awareness without reaction, without connection with any emotion. There is no desire to move anywhere or from anywhere. It is knowledge that precedes perfect action. At this stage of cosmic evolution, a clear and discernible Universe manifests itself as the consciousness of "That is me", this is the stage of complete self-identification. The Universe is now fully formed and therefore discernible. Since the universe is fully formed, "That" side is predominant. "Self" is present there, and it is still captivated with divine amazement before the action unfolding in front of him.
