Lelihana
Lelihana
Lelihana (from the Sanskrit root lih - "eat, comprehend") - one of the names of Parvati, wife of Shiva. Also, this name is one of the mudras used in tantric rituals.
In the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, lelihana-mudra is explained as follows:
“This is the mudra in which the yogi comprehends the whole universe in his nature of the inherent I-consciousness. This is Shakta-siddha’s mudra.”
[Dharana 54], commentary on verse 77
According to the descriptions given in the Tantric texts, there are two kinds of Lelihana-mudras.
