Rota

रोट, roṭa

Thick flatbread made from unleavened dough kneaded with ghur, ghee and spices. The Nathas have a ritual when the dough is placed in a dhuni for the night, powdered with ashes. By morning, a rota is obtained and it is distributed as prasad.
