Anga-nyasa
Anga-nyasa
अङ्ग-न्यास, aṅga-nyāsa (अंग-न्यास, aṃga-nyāsa)
Nyasa of the parts of the body (from the Sanskrit "anga" – part). It often is a synonymous with Hridaya-nyasa. In anga-nyasa important areas of the body in the upper body are involved: heart, forehead, crown, shoulders, three eyes, space around the head. If there are six parts, as in the above sequence, then this is also called shadanga-nyasa. However, in the tantras there may be panchanga-nyasas (five parts) and other varieties of anga-nyasas.
