Sannidhapani-mudra — Satya-panth



Sannidhapani-mudra

Means approximation. It is made to offer oneself to service Deity and request Deity to stay nearby. Clench four fingers of both hands to form fists, big fingers lie on top of fists, slightly raised in the last joint.

Sannirodhani-mudra

It is done in order to ask the Deity to remain for a time of veneration. Keep your hands in the same position as for sannidhapani-mudra, but your thumbs are clenched in fists.

Sannyasi

"the renounced"

Sannyasi, sannyasin is  a person who has taken sannyasa and follows the instructions of the sannyasi-ashram in Hinduism, a monk.  Sannyasi lives observing brahmacharya, having no possessions, practicing yogic forms of meditation, or (in other traditions) devotional forms of worship (bhakti), with prayers to selected Deities or God. The purpose of a sannyasi's life is moksha.
